Our Staff
Our staff consists of Catholic priests, Protestant pastors, lay chaplains and a Spiritual Care Liaison from the Muslim community who visit patients and respond to referrals from patients, nurses, physicians and other staff. The majority of our staff are certified through either the National Association of Catholic Chaplains or the Association of Professional Chaplains.
We are available to listen, to reflect, and to offer prayer and support as part of the healing process for our patients and their families. A Catholic priest is available to administer the Sacrament of the Sick and Reconciliation.
Spiritual Care volunteers are assigned throughout the hospital to visit patients, and offer spiritual support, prayer, and Holy Communion daily to patients and family members.
Parish Nurses
Parish Nursing is the specialized practice of professional nursing that focuses on the care of the spirit as part of the process of promoting holistic health. Parish nursing focuses on health promotion within the parish as a whole, a family or an individual, based on standards of care and performance outlined by the American Nurses Association.
