Inpatient Services
Inpatient behavioral health services, provided at Rice Memorial Hospital, are for patients requiring mental health or chemical dependency treatment to safely resume their lives and continue treatment on an outpatient basis. Treatment may include one or more of the following:
- Creative task-based experiences to help in self-discovery and skill development
- Group learning for the development of communication and social skills
- Educational programs on wellness and relationships
- Group therapy on interpersonal issues
- Family involvement in treatment planning
- Leisure and recreational therapy
- Medical treatment, including comprehensive evaluation, medications and psychiatric psychotherapy
- Discharge planning including referral to other facilities or to return home
- Emphasis on treating the whole person (including exercise and nutrition)
- Aromatherapy
Outpatient Services
Outpatient services, provided by psychologists, certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners and social workers, are provided for adults, adolescents and children. Outpatient services are available at Willmar Skylark Clinic and Rice Memorial Hospital. Some of the treatment and testing we provide include:
- Individual therapy for those facing personal struggles or challenges
- Marriage and relationship counseling for couples
- Family therapy for interfamily relationships and dynamics
- Psychological testing for diagnosis and personalized treatment planning (Willmar Skylark Clinic only)
- Medical treatment including evaluation and medication management (Rice Memorial Hospital only)
- Gender and sexual orientation therapy
