Integrated Care: Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Mental Health Care
- We have treated people with substance use disorders and mental health diagnoses with an integrated approach since 1977.
- Our programs are designed for adults experiencing the personal impact and negative consequences from alcohol or substance use and possibly additional mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders or another mental health diagnosis.
- Our programs are licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services under 245G.
- Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselors, Mental Health Professionals and Mental Health Practitioners work together to assist individuals in navigating through complex substance use and mental health concerns while developing a strong individualized recovery plan.

Adult Services
Varying Levels of Intensive Outpatient Treatment
Our outpatient program is for adults ages 18+ who have a substance use disorder often in combination with a mental health or emotional problem. The length of all phases of treatment is variable based on a person’s needs and risk levels. The program includes:
- Group counseling
- Individual counseling
- Care coordination
- Family involvement
- Intensity step-down
- Drug screening
- After Care programming
Please Note: For each of the programs listed below, the length is individualized to meet the needs of each client.
High Intensity:
We offer a unique full day high intensity outpatient option in person with 30+ hours per week of programming.
Monday-Friday: 9 am to 4 pm (full day)
Medium Intensity:
12-15 hours per week, day or evening options
Low Intensity:
3-6 hours per week, day or evening options
Addiction Medicine Clinic
The Addiction Medicine Clinic provides an array of services, including Medication Assisted Therapies (MAT), tobacco cessation, in-person and virtual visits.

Because your successful sobriety is our goal, we are a tobacco-free campus.
This policy defines tobacco as the use of manufactured, commercial tobacco. It does not include sacred medicinal, and traditional use of tobacco by American Indians and other groups. Staff can share CentraCare’s policies on using sacred medicinal tobacco while in treatment upon request.
- Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT): naltrexone, Vivitrol, Antabuse
- Psychiatry Consults and medication management
- Lab testing and treatment of minor health conditions for clinic patients
