Biography What I Do
My philosophy of care is simple, I teach my patients what I would do if I had what they have. I teach them to fish rather than just giving them fish to eat.
Why I Love My Work
I love it when I teach my patients something that they didn't know and it makes their life better. I really love that smile.
I have always been amazed by the complexity of human movement. Physical therapy is the the study of movement essentially.
Getting to Know Me
I grew up in northeast Iowa, was involved in sports and band. Went to college at University of Iowa where I was a student athletic trainer. I worked for 1 year as a grad assistant athletic trainer after graduating then went to PT school in Des Moines.
Within a 2-week period after graduating from PT school, I got married to my wife Gretchen, and moved to Kansas City where I worked for 5 years at an outpatient sports medicine clinic.
Shortly after we had our first child, son Casey, we moved to Montevideo.
My wife and I had worked in Montevideo for 26 years until the hospital there outsourced the rehab department to a different company that neither one of us were inclined to work for so we left the hospital.
I was happy to start work at the Redwood Falls rehab department on January 2, 2024. I have known Heidi and Ryan, and Magan for a long time.
Hobbies include golf, cooking, and traveling.
Our son Casey, lives in a Seattle, Washington suburb and is 7th grade science teacher.
Our daughter Molly, was recently married and works for a digital marketing company in the Twin Cities.
