Biography What I Do
I work to create an open environment where children and their families feel safe and comfortable confiding without judgment. I want them to know that I truly care about every concern they have, no matter how small it may seem.As a pediatrician, I am here for you through all stages, from birth to adolescence, including: bringing a newborn baby home for the first time, winter colds, ear infections, starting kindergarten, making new friends, puberty, trying new activities and sports, mental health concerns, transitioning to adulthood, and much more.
My clinical interests include newborn medicine, mental health, obesity, and dermatologic conditions.
Why I Love My Work
What I love most about my work is the patients. Whether it’s helping them grow up well or recover from an illness, kids are resilient, silly, and truly make me excited to go to work!I was motivated to go into health care because the science behind medicine has always fascinated me. The interaction with people and the privilege of being able to help them drew me to becoming a medical doctor, and my strong desire to take care of children is why I became a pediatrician.
Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, especially my nieces and nephews. I am a rescued cat lover, an avid watcher of children and family movies, and a devoted reader of psychological thrillers. I celebrate every birthday and holiday, and I especially love decorating for them!A fun fact about me is that I was born at CentraCare – St. Cloud Hospital. Throughout my medical training, I have toured the Midwest — living in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Iowa. Now, I am happy to be back in St. Cloud, close to family and my roots. I am excited to provide care in a place that I grew up in, and that is so special to me.
