    Biography

    What I Do
I went into medicine because I was fascinated with the evolving science and the opportunity to use this knowledge to help others. I have a passion for skin cancer surgery and have performed over 1,000 cases of Mohs surgery at the University of Wisconsin along with over 150 advanced repairs consisting of flaps and skin grafts for complicated defects. In addition to skin cancer surgery, I also have strong interests in autoimmune blistering diseases and psoriasis.

    Why I Love My Work
My philosophy of care is to treat all patients in the same manner as I would treat my loved ones. A favorite part of my job is seeing patients in follow-up who are either cured from skin cancer or have a dramatically improved rash. You can see the relief in their eyes.

    Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I enjoy wakeboarding, waterskiing, hiking, traveling and riding bike with my kids. I grew up attending Annandale High School, and my wife and I always wanted to move back to this area for its people and beautiful outdoors. When in my 30s, I had basal cell skin cancer, and this has motivated me to be diligent about sunscreen and other skin protection!
