Biography What I Do
As a physician assistant in vascular surgery, my goal is to provide compassionate, respectful and evidence-based care. I want my patients to feel listened to and cared for in a holistic manner. I place a high emphasis on patient education, as I think it is vital for patients to understand their diagnosis and the reasoning behind their treatments and medications. My special clinical interest is primarily vascular surgery.I promise to listen to you and put your needs first. I will walk alongside you on your health journey to help you not only reach your health-related goals, but also improve your quality of life, so that you can get back to doing the things that are important to you. In short, I am committed to serving you and strongly believe in the collaborative nature of care between the provider and the patient.
Why I Love My Work
Surgical subspecialties provide a unique opportunity to follow patients throughout many stages of their care, including seeing them pre-operatively, being involved in their surgery, and watching them heal and overcome their diagnosis. It is so rewarding to see their progress and know that you were a part of their entire journey.I volunteered at CentraCare throughout high school and undergrad, and I appreciated the patient-centered style of care. I saw firsthand how the employees worked together to provide the best patient experience possible.
Getting to Know Me
I grew up in St. Michael, Minnesota, and I absolutely adore this community. Central Minnesota is still home to many of my friends and family, and I feel fortunate to be able to serve and give back to this community as a physician assistant.Outside of work, you will find me spending time with my husband, family and friends. I love pretty much anything that allows me to get outside, such as camping, biking, downhill skiing or watching sports. I am also a huge foodie, so I am always looking for new, local cuisine to try.
