Areas Of Interest I enjoy the challenges and rewards of vascular surgery, as well as the variety of patients. An individualized treatment approach is essential, accounting not only for a patient's particular problem, but also his or her goals and lifestyle factors. Furthermore, a collaborative approach with patients and providers is essential, leading to better outcomes with greater efficiency. I work primarily in Willmar, but also perform more complex procedures in St. Cloud and provide outreach in Redwood Falls.
Clinical interests include:
- Open, endovascular, and complex hybrid revascularization of occlusive arterial disease, for limb salvage and claudication
- Open and percutaneous endovascular treatment of abdominal aortic, iliac, and popliteal aneurysms, including fenestrated grafting
- Carotid endarterectomy, transcarotid artery revascularization, and open and endovascular treatment of subclavian artery occlusive disease
- Dialysis access, including arteriovenous fistula/graft placement and revision, tunneled catheter, fistulagram, and peritoneal catheter placement and revision
- Open and endovascular treatment of mesenteric and renal artery stenosis and aneurysms
- Thermal and non-thermal saphenous vein ablation, microphlebectomy, sclerotherapy, and other interventions for varicose veins
- Wound care including medical management, unna boot, and biologic grafting
- Vascular trauma, including open, endovascular, and hybrid techniques
- Lower extremity amputation, preserving as much of the limb as feasible
