    Biography

    What I Do
My philosophy of care is to always strive to treat each patient like a family member in every interaction. My philosophy is always centered around the relationship with the family first in order to build trust, connection and empathy. Personally, this is when I see the most results in my patients. I believe in family-centered practice and try to empower parents in any way I can. My special clinical interests include infant motor development and developmental feeding issues.

    Why I Love My Work
I love teaching, from the smallest suggestion to reaching multiple steps of a larger goal. It brings me so much satisfaction when a parent tells me their child is more independent with feeding or their little one is now able to sit independently. I also love to laugh with the families, typically in therapy, some of the exercises may be tough for both parents and the kids so when we share a laugh, it makes everything better and worth it.

    Getting to Know Me
What motivated me to go into medicine and especially occupational therapy was shortly after my mom got diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and entered a neuro rehabilitation hospital in Toronto. I got to see firsthand how important her therapists were throughout her recovery, independence and overall well-being.

Outside of work, I enjoy tennis, dance, cooking and horseback riding.
