    Biography

    What I Do
I am a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a subspecialization in hand, wrist, peripheral nerve and microsurgery. In this role, I work with patients to develop a treatment plan that addresses their concerns and gets them back to doing what they enjoy most.

I am particularly interested in injuries of the hand and wrist, fractures of the hand and wrist, arthritis of the hand and wrist, the surgical management of brachial plexus and complex peripheral nerve injuries, neuropathic pain/neuromas, hand trauma, improvement in function of amputated limbs with targeted muscle re-innervation and regenerative peripheral nerve interfaces.

    Why I Love My Work
I was drawn to medicine to solve problems and improve lives. I enjoy the multifaceted nature of plastic and hand surgery, which allows me to fix bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, nerves, arteries and skin problems.

The best part of my job is seeing the impact on patients when I can restore the function lost from a devastating hand or nerve injury, allowing them to do things they thought they would never be able to do again.

    Getting to Know Me
I am a Minnesota native, and I am thrilled to be back home. Outside of work, I enjoy being with family and friends and exploring Minnesota trails and lakes. I am an avid cross-country skier and enjoy getting outside in the winter.
