    What I Do
The care I provide is driven by interaction and connections with patients on a personal level. I want my patients to know that I am a person, not just their health care provider. Through building trusting relationships, I help my patients understand their options and what is best for them.

    Why I Love My Work
I began in the medical field as an EMT. From there, I knew I wanted to do more so I went back to school to become a paramedic. My desire to continue progressing led me to start school to become a physician assistant five years later.

I enjoy the combination of pathophysiology and technical skill that surgery brings together. It requires the ability to think critically about each patient’s situation, create a plan, and execute that plan.

The best part about my job is making connections with patients. I like building relationships from the time we are first getting to know each other to following up after a procedure.

    Getting to Know Me
After living and working across the country in Colorado and Georgia, in both rural and urban areas, I am happy to be back in my home state. Central Minnesota is a great place to be because the hustle and bustle of the metro is a short drive away and so is the rural community that I grew up in.

Outside of work, I enjoy anything that gets me outdoors. I like hiking with my pup, a trip to the BWCA, and fishing trips with my friends. I also like finding and supporting local breweries, live music, and traveling.

Before getting into medicine, I held a variety of jobs, including being a canoe guide, zipline guide, factory worker, and custodian.
