Biography What I Do
As a direct-service social worker, I conduct psychosocial needs assessments with patients and help them identify areas for improvement. My goal is to bridge the gaps between personal challenges and goals of care. An important part of my role is being an advocate for my patients and empowering them to recognize their own strengths. Why I Love My Work
Watching patients make positive changes in their lives to achieve their potential is what I find most rewarding about my job. I love having the opportunity to be creative when solving problems, as two situations are never the same. I enjoy how each patient gives me a new perspective, along with the inspiration and insight I gain from my experienced peers.Getting to Know Me
I was born St. Cloud, grew up in Sauk Rapids, and went to college at St. Cloud State University. I have a big family who I love spending time with. Some of my hobbies include photography, traveling, and discovering new walking trails throughout Minnesota. During college, I had the opportunity to study abroad Southeast Asia; I visited Thailand, Malaysia, and Laos. Each country was extraordinarily unique and beautiful. I will forever be thankful for the many lessons I learned about gaining perspective, having empathy for diverse cultures, and understanding the importance of self-awareness and reflection. My experiences abroad were a big influence on why I chose to become a social worker.
