Mike Schramm, CentraCare – Willmar President, Announces Retirement

Mike Schramm, CentraCare – Willmar President, has announced he will embark on a new journey in life – retirement, but will continue to serve in his role through Jan. 3, 2025.

Originally from South Dakota, Mike has made a lasting impact on Minnesota’s healthcare landscape for nearly three decades and has successfully led three separate healthcare organizations across different communities in the state.

In 2009, Mike joined Rice Memorial Hospital as Chief Executive Officer, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision. His role expanded in 2018 when he took on the position of co-CEO for Carris Health, marking the successful integration of Rice Memorial, ACMC and eventually Family Practice Medical Center into the CentraCare family. Since 2019, Mike has been serving as President of CentraCare – Willmar, and throughout his leadership journey, has exemplified what it means to keep our patients at the forefront as we strive to make rural life healthier.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mike has been an active and respected member of the Willmar community. His involvement with the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, and the Willmar Cardinals 100 Yard Club showcases his commitment to making a positive impact in the community and ensuring expert health care is available close to home for the Willmar region.
