St. Cloud Hospital Celebrates 5th Magnet Redesignation

CentraCare – St. Cloud Hospital achieved a fifth Magnet redesignation, an honor from the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet Recognition Program® that distinguishes health care organizations that meet rigorous standards for nursing excellence.

This credential is the highest national honor for professional nursing practice and is a testament to St. Cloud Hospital’s continued dedication to high-quality nursing patient care.

“I am incredibly proud and grateful for our nurses and interdisciplinary team members who provide exemplary care to our patients as demonstrated by this recognition,” Chief Nursing Officer Melissa Fradette said.

St. Cloud Hospital is now one of only 43 organizations in the world that has achieved a fifth redesignation — that equals less than 1 percent of the more than 6,000 hospitals in the United States. Only 604 hospitals worldwide are Magnet designated.

There are currently three other Minnesota hospitals with Magnet designation: Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Children’s Minnesota and Mayo Clinic Rochester.
