Waite Park Curbside COVID-19 Testing to Close; Appointments Transition to Clinics
As demand for COVID-19 testing has decreased and alternative testing options have become more widely available, CentraCare will close its COVID-19 curbside testing site in Waite Park at the end of the day on Saturday, Sept. 3.
CentraCare’s COVID-19 testing operations in the St. Cloud area will transition to CentraCare – Southway Clinic beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 6, and CentraCare – Sartell Clinic on Wednesday, Sept. 7.
At both the Sartell and Southway clinics, COVID-19 test collection will be separate from the general labs. Patients will not be checked in by front desk staff but will be directed by signage to report directly to the collection area. As always, the safety of our employees and patients is our top priority.
COVID-19 testing will be available for symptomatic, pre-procedural and close contact exposure. Appointments can be made by calling CentraCare Connect at 320-200-3200 or online scheduling via CentraCare.com. As for pre-procedural testing, please follow your provider's instructions.
Walk-ins will not be accepted. Patients will need an appointment for COVID-19 testing.
Travel testing will no longer be available to patients at the Sartell and Southway clinics. COVID-19 testing will just be for sick, close contact exposure and/or pre-procedural patients. For additional testing locations in Minnesota, visit mn.gov/covid19/get-tested.
