CentraCare Names Gardner SVP, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer
CentraCare has promoted Anthony Gardner to Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, effective Sept. 6.
Since joining CentraCare in 2015 as vice president of marketing and communications, Gardner has led the organization’s brand strategy and internal and external communications, including critical communications during COVID-19.
"In the last several years, through Anthony’s leadership, CentraCare has become increasingly aware of the strategic importance of effective brand and reputation management and effective communications,” said Dr. Ken Holmen, CentraCare President and Chief Executive Officer. “We are confident that Anthony’s experience and expertise will serve CentraCare and our community well in the years ahead,” Holmen said.
Gardner has served on the national Board of Directors for the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. He has also served on multiple community boards, with an emphasis on non-profit culture and arts organizations. He currently serves on the Minnesota State Arts Board.
Gardner earned a BA in biomedical engineering from Yale University, an MBA from the University of Chicago, and an MA in Health Communication from Johns Hopkins University. He is a fellow of the Advisory Board in Washington, D.C.
