CentraCare Nurses Receive March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Awards

CentraCare was honored to have 16 nurses who were selected as finalists for the 2020 March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award.

Out of the distinguished finalists, CentraCare had four category winners: Lori Steffen, Public Health Nursing category; Debra Mock, LPN category; Cameron Atkinson, Neonatal category; and Melissa Bray-Erickson, Women’s Health category.

The March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award ceremony was held virtually on Oct. 23 to recognize local nurses who — especially during the COVID-19 pandemic — are on the frontlines caring for families.

The March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Awards celebrates the health care community in recognizing nursing excellence and achievements in research, education, quality patient care, innovation and leadership.
