Spinach Crust Pizza
CentraCare Health Weight Management Recipe
Recipe from Weight Management Health Coach Michelle Lee, BS
Ingredients for crust
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup shredded cheese or 1 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
- Season to taste
Use your favorite sauce, light cheese, veggies, and lean meats as toppings.
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400-425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. Use a small amount of oil or cooking spray to keep the crust from sticking.
- Combine ingredients and form crust to look like a flatbread (about a ¼-inch thick).
- Bake until top is browned and edges are slightly crispy — 20-30 minutes. For an extra crispy crust, turn on broiler.
- Remove baking sheet from oven and top with your favorite pizza toppings.
- Bake until cheese on top is melted and your toppings are done, approximately 8-10 minutes.
