CentraCare Health – Monticello’s Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit received deemed status accreditation from the Joint Commission during a recent survey. Health care organizations that achieve accreditation through the Joint Commission are determined to meet or exceed a variety of state quality standards. The Joint Commission is a non-profit group that provides national accreditation and certification to more than 19,000 health care organizations and programs throughout the United States. Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting specific performance standards.
