CentraCare Health – Melrose Hospital ribbon cutting scheduled for Sunday
CentraCare Health – Melrose will hold its hospital grand opening celebration from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, at 525 Main St. West. The public is invited for tours, refreshments, door prizes and an official ribbon cutting ceremony at 12:30 p.m.
Celebrating the healing power of nature, the CentraCare Health – Melrose Hospital includes a healing garden and inside artwork that captures the spirit of Central Minnesota’s natural landscape.
The progress of modern medicine is evident at the Melrose Hospital with its advanced diagnostic equipment and patient-friendly room designs.

The 53,000-square-foot building includes two state-of-the art operating rooms, new emergency department, 12 private patient rooms, two dedicated labor, delivery and recovery suites, 14 universal rooms, imaging women’s center and a Bistro.
Generous gifts from the community and CentraCare Health employees made all the difference in making the dream become reality.
“Our goal for this new hospital is to provide a comfortable, healing environment for our patients,” said Gerry Gilbertson, CentraCare Health – Melrose Administrator. “We offer a multitude of services for the community and we will continue to build upon our high level of care in the community and beyond.”
The new hospital will open Tuesday, August 29, 2017.
