Kalkman Joins CentraCare Health as Chief Human Resources Officer

Joseph Kalkman will join CentraCare Health as vice president and chief human resources officer, effective January 22, 2018. 

Since 2015, Kalkman has served as vice president of Talent Management for Anthem, Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana, an $80B Fortune 30 medical insurance company. Previously, he held senior human resources leadership positions at Twin Cities-based Best Buy and Delta Airlines. Kalkman began his career at Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan.

“Joe’s depth and breadth of human resources experience, combined with his understanding of Central Minnesota, make him a strong addition to our executive team,” said Ken Holmen, MD, president and CEO of CentraCare.

Kalkman is pleased to be returning home. “Having grown up and attended college in Central Minnesota, I have roots here. I’m excited to be returning to this great community and to be joining one of Minnesota’s premier health systems,” Kalkman said.

Kalkman received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from St. John’s University in Collegeville and his master of arts degree in educational psychology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
