Public invited to ‘Our Best for You’ community health event

Published in Media Releases

CentraCare Health will unveil its newest community wellness initiative — and host a health fair featuring animal-assisted therapy teams, free health screenings, a walk-through giant colon exhibit, light hors d’oeuvres and much, much more — on Oct. 19 at the River’s Edge Convention Center in downtown St. Cloud.

The activities begin with exhibits and screenings from 2 to 3:30 p.m. CentraCare’s leaders will discuss how partnerships create healthy communities and answer questions from the audience from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. Exhibits and screenings will resume from 4:45 to 5:15 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to win prizes such as a spa package and a YMCA membership.

Two keynote presentations round out the day:

  • 5:15 to 6 p.m.: Eating Green with Gusto, presented by David Kroska, MD, CentraCare Clinic physician and avid gardener. Dr. Kroska will discuss preserving your health by eating healthful produce year-round; and he will share recipes for flavorful vegetables.
  • 6:15 to 7 p.m.: Stretching Your Minutes, presented by Audra Zastrow, PT, DPT, CLT, CentraCare Health – Long Prairie. Learn how to fit mini-exercises and stretches into your commute, workday and evening routine to stay flexible and reduce stress.

All attendees who RSVP by Oct. 12 will receive a free gift tote. RSVP online at STCLOUD2016.com or by phone at 320-251-2700, ext. 54100.
