Published in Media Releases

Employees at CentraCare Health – Monticello pledged to help support Rivers of Hope during the annual employee giving campaign.  Employees generously donated more than $44,800 to support local health needs including $8,400 designated to Rivers of Hope.

Rivers of Hope is a non-profit organization that offers general and legal advocacy, individual and group support and education, information and referrals, youth intervention and prevention services.  The organization was founded in the summer of 1989 by a small group of citizens in Elk River, Minn. who were concerned about domestic violence in their local community. By the mid-1990s, Rivers of Hope expanded from Sherburne County into Wright County and has grown to its current status as the primary provider of domestic violence advocacy services in these counties.

“I’m so thankful for our employees’ generosity and their willingness to personally pledge financial support to improve the health and well-being of our community,” said Mary Ellen Wells, Administrator for CentraCare Health – Monticello.  “Supporting local health and wellness organizations is one of the many ways that employees at CentraCare Health – Monticello show we care for our community.”

Through the annual giving campaign and contributions to health-related programs including Rivers of Hope, CentraCare Health – Monticello’s employees demonstrate their commitment to improving the health of our patients and community.
