CentraCare Health – Monticello Welcomes Reverend Jocelyn Bakkemo, Spiritual Health Program Coordinator

Reverend Jocelyn Bakkemo, MDiv, joined CentraCare Health – Monticello as Spiritual Health Program Coordinator. Bakkemo is involved with building a comprehensive nondenominational spiritual health program at CentraCare Health - Monticello to support the varying faith traditions and beliefs of patients, residents, their families and staff.

Bakkemo grew up in Denver, Colo. and received her Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn. She recently served as a Hospice Chaplain in Colorado Springs, Colo. Bakkemo’s education and experience in spiritual health provides a knowledgeable foundation for building CentraCare Health – Monticello’s spiritual health program.

“I am very excited to help create a spiritual program from the ground up,” said Bakkemo. “When talking about providing care for the whole person, spiritual health is a component of supporting overall well-being for many. I am looking forward to providing the option of spiritual health to staff and patients of all faiths and beliefs at CentraCare Health – Monticello and I will enjoy working with local congregations to create a spiritual health choice for our community.”
