Growing Our Own Doctors Scholarship applicants must meet the minimum requirements below to be considered:

1. The applicant has been accepted to an accredited college or university medical school.

2. Priority will be given to applicants who have or are currently residing in one of the communities served by CentraCare’s Southwest Region.

3. Scholarship recipients will agree to work in the CentraCare’s Southwest Region for a minimum of 5 years upon graduation.

4. A signed Financial Aid agreement and Promissory Note will be expected to fulfill this requirement.

5. Applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) and be open to sharing financial need-based aid figures.

6. Prior academic performance and financial need will be taken into consideration in the selection process.

7. An interview will be required for selection.

8. Scholarships are renewable, up to four years, subject to continued meritorious performance.
