Kenneth Holmen, MD

President, Chief Executive Officer

Holmen became CentraCare’s president and CEO in January 2015. For ten years prior, Holmen had been a vice president with Bloomington, Minnesota-based HealthPartners and chief medical officer at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. He spent many years practicing anesthesiology and served as CEO of his medical practice.

Holmen received his MD from the University of Minnesota, although he is a proud Iowan.

Holmen and his wife Linda have two adult daughters. He loves being a granddad. He loves music and sings with the National Lutheran Choir.
